SONO: New Construction Under Way

Alliance HSP has been busy over the last few years building on their master redevelopment of the former Destination Maternity warehouse at 6th and Spring Garden. Yard’s Brewing is the arguably the anchor tenant along the commercial corridor while the City’s Archives occupy a portion of the space and a City Target complete with Starbucks offers much needed neighborhood amenities including a grocery section.

This project has proven its success and Alliance is keeping up the momentum. Over the past few months they have made serious headway on the second phase of the development project; the addition of 50 apartments with 11,000 SF of ground floor retail. This project is the first of many experiments that developers are attempting to carry out in this neighborhood. The vast seas of surface parking offer endless opportunities for redevelopment creating a denser more urban neighborhood to support the growing commercial corridor along Spring Garden.
